Sterilization, Cleanliness, and Disposable Materials

At Dr. Dilip Dental Centre, we take your safety very seriously. We use the latest techniques and equipment to ensure that all of our instruments and equipment are sterilized to the highest standards.

Our Sterilization Process

Our sterilization process begins with a thorough cleaning of all instruments. This is followed by packaging the instruments in sterile pouches and vacuum sealing them to prevent contamination. We then use a high-tech autoclave to sterilize the instruments at a temperature of 121 degrees Celsius. This temperature is known to kill all known disease-causing bacteria.

Our Water Systems

We also use self-contained water systems in each treatment room. These systems utilize sterile water, so you can be sure that the water that goes into your mouth during treatment is completely safe. The water systems are flushed between patients to ensure that they are always clean and free of bacteria.

Disposable Materials

We use disposable materials throughout the treatment process, including gloves, masks, suction tips, and plastic glasses. This helps to prevent the spread of bacteria and germs. We also use bottled water for rinsing your mouth during procedures.

We take a number of additional safety precautions to protect our patients, including:
  • Providing lead jackets to protect patients from radiation during X-rays
  • Avoiding the use of amalgam fillings, which contain mercury
  • Avoiding the use of nickel in the metal framework of PFM crowns
  • Avoiding the use of acid etchant in composite resin fillings
  • Offering metal-free options like glass ceramic and zirconia ceramic in crown and bridge work
  • Avoiding the use of silver cones in root canal fillings

We are committed to providing our patients with the highest level of safety and care. We believe that you should be able to feel confident that you are in good hands when you come to Dr. Dilip Dental Centre.
